REGION I SOLO & ENSEMBLE DATE SET

On Tuesday, February 18, several members of the varsity ensemble will be competing at the Region I Solo & Ensemble contest on the campus of Oklahoma Panhandle State University in Goodwell.  10 soloists, 2 duets, and four ensembles will be performing, with all 16 performances being eligible to advance to the state competition.  We wish all performers the best of luck.  

EIGHT BALKO VOCALISTS SELECTED TO PERFORM AT CARNEGIE HALL

Eight Balko HS Choir members have been selected to perform with the Panhandle Youth Chorus at Carnegie Hall in New York City on April 20, 2020.  Seniors Britney Woodbury, Ethan Stowers, and Cheyenne McMinn, Juniors Madison Ball and Carley Sager, Sophomores Natalie Crawford and Alex Roberts, and Freshman Malarie Ball passed the rigorous audition process and were selected by Chorus director Dr M Dee Wilkins to perform with the select ensemble.  The Chorus will be performing Lux: The Dawn Form On High by Dan Forrest and will be accompanied by the world famous New York City Chamber Orchestra.
